This book follows the heroine, Aquila: the daughter of a family of food caterers who work for rich people in the Kingdom of the Stars. Most of this book is swapping shenaningans and shippy moments between Aquila and her brother's best friend Leo, who used to be her best friend too as a child but she was forced to stop playing with them because she kept bossing them around and riding Leo like a horse because he was bigger and, just, the adults were like, Leo is from a rich family mfg why is my girl a monster. Anyway the book ends when she leaves with Leo and other young students, posing as her brother.
