Fifteen year olds should be listened to, you weren't wrong just because you were a kid. You shouldn't have to go away at all. You're not the problem.

I am, now. Because the problem is in here. [touches her head] Even if my family were arsoned or assassined away, they would just take a different form. I want them outside, with their own limitations and weaknesses.

...since you've said you don't want it, I won't do anything. But you'd be surprised. Even if you can't burn up what they put into your head, there's a lot to be said for being able to make your own choices freely. And some people won't allow that while they're alive, that's also their own choice.

Someone asked me the other day why I didn't just move from here if I had such an annoying neighbor.

I don't know, if you'd tried harder maybe we'd have talked earlier. Someone trying to evict me is pretty interesting.

But you compromised on only trying a little bit to get me evicted. So you don't know what would've happened if you'd tried harder.

That's right. I might have ended up being evicted myself for being a troublesome tenant.

Well these things take time. I've only been fond of you for like a week. Give it a month, maybe I'd change my schedule.

You'd burn houses down for someone before changing your schedule for them. I see how it is.

Yes, exactly. That's a much bigger inconvenience.

It shouldn't be, though. It would help you fix your sleep schedule. And if you streamed early enough you could even have date nights with that nice person who wasn't loud more often.
